Biography
Ginevra Begani Provinciali received her MSc degree in Physics at Sapienza University (Rome, Italy) in 2018, and she is currently enrolled as a PhD student in Physics at the Laboratoire d'Optique Appliquée, École Polytechnique (Palaiseau, France).
She worked on X-ray phase-contrast tomography applied to the study of neurodegenerative diseases during the Master Thesis. Her current PhD project is on Nanoparticules detection in biological samples through different phase-contrast techniques.
Her research fields are focused on imaging processing, implementation of specific segmentation algorithms, optimization of laboratory X-ray sources, new detection methods for phase contrast imaging, characterization of central nervous system of rodents.
